Wow, I am finding so much in these chapters it's hard to comment on one or two things. "rejoice that your names are written in heaven." 10:20. That's a cool reminder. Peter
Hey I was wondering if any one has read anything on 'The Six Woes' some of them didn't make sense and others were simple. So if you have found a sermon or someone's thoughts in the Daily Bread or something, pass it on. I'd love to read someone's perception on it. Other then that, let's remember to pray for each other as we continue to study in this way. *Tiffany
Luke 8 - 10 are interesting chapters showing the amount of activity that Jesus engaged in. He spent much time telling stories, teaching and healing people. Yet in all his busyness, he still took time to draw aside from the crowds and spend time praying and meditating. What a good example for us in our activity filled lives to follow. No matter how full our days are, do we have an option not to spend time with God? Don
"If you are filled with light, with no dark corners, then your whole life will be radiant, as though a floodlight were filling you with light." Luke 11:36
Worry! I tend to be a worrier. God says, "Don't worry about everyday life...Can all your worries adda single moment to your life?..And if worry can't do little things like that, what's the use of worrying over bigger things?...He will give you all you need." I read this somewhere..."A elderly godly woman was noted as saying, 'I've had a lot of troubles in my life - and most of it never happened.' Grace and guidance are given one day at a time." Joyce Meyers said this...how much more peace wouldn't we have in our lives IF we put all the energy & time we use for worrying and used that time for praying instead. I'm always learning and growing!

If you're interested, Tiffany, you can check out a website www.sermoncentral.com where you can search sermons by passage. It might have some ideas.
