  1. I am reminded anew this morning at the complete freedom and redemption Jesus has provided for us. The thought of Paul, former enemy of Christians, saying, in 2 Tim. 1:2, that he serves God with a clear conscience, reveals how full and complete his transformation on the road had been. How needlessly do we struggle with guilt and regret over things we have done in the past and allow that to diminish our service in the present? May God open our eyes to His redemptive work in our hearts and to the complete forgiveness available to us.

  5. Psalm 39:6 - "Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered, and that my life is fleeing away." God, help me to make the most of the opportunities you bring my way, to have the right priorities in my life, and to live each moment for you and in your all-embracing care.

  6. Lord, thank you for Kris and for his commitment to you. Lord, because you are all-knowing, you know what his struggles are before he even asks for help. We ask collectively for you to strengthen him, help him to resist the many temptations that come up. Pour out your love on Kris and keep him near to you. Bless him for his desire to follow you.
    Amen

  7. Psalm 40:1-2, "I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand." I remember about 4 years ago telling one of my friends about a rough time I was going through. She then told me Psalm 40:1-2 and told me she was praying. It was cool to read this verse again and rememeber that I am supported by so many people.

ps. Kris, I'm praying as well.
