  1. I was so intrigued by today's reading of the trial of Paul in the presence of King Agrippa that I had to continue reading, and in case any of you are as interested in it as I am, I'm warning you I'm going to spoil tomorrow's ending. Agrippa said that Paul would have been released if he had not appealed to Ceasar. Paul had spent two years in jail if I'm reading correctly and then he sees one 'judge' after another and I bet he didn't know that he could have been released after Agrippa. No, he went on to see Ceasar. I pray you all are as engrossed in the Bible as I am finding myself this week. Praise the Lord!

  2. I'm with you Tiff. I finished Acts on last week but have enjoyed re-reading each chapter as we go along. It's great how the story draws you in and how you see God using impossible circumstances to spread the gospel.

  4. I agree, Annie. Who knew it was so chock full?

While reading ch. 27 today, verses 21-26 impacted me. The storm has raged for many days and the crew hasn't even eaten due to the fear and stress. Paul, because of his relationship with God, is able to encourage everyone and to give them words of hope: "So take courage! For I believe God.It will be just as He said."

I am moved today to think of the times, while living in the "storm" of life in this world, in which I can hold out those same words of hope to my battered companions. "Take courage! For I believe God. It will be just as He said."

  5. As I finished ch. 28 this morning, I was disappointed that the story of Paul ended. It feels like there should be more to the story in a sequel.
Like some of you, this reading of Acts was new and inspiring to me. I seemed to get so much new inspiration from it this time around.

  6. I also really enjoyed the book of acts through this time. It's amazing to see how God helped paul spread the word. No matter what happened Paul still had all his faith in God. Amazing, how someone who was persucuting and killing christans can change so much that next he is telling everyone about Jesus Christ and would die for him.
