It amazes me how bold the Pharisees were towards Jesus. In Mark 8, they came to Jesus and demanded a miraculous sign. What were they thinking? Jesus was doing miracles all around them as he healed sick people. Was this not enough? Did they want something more glamorous; something like a visual trick that a magician does? Jesus didn't take the bait. He remained in control of what he was doing and didn't let them goad him into something that he didn't wish to do. He remained principled in his actions, not being swayed from his earthly mission. Don
After reading Jesus' interaction with the father of the possessed boy in chapter 9 I was challenged again that we have dreams of what we would like to see happen and we ask God but do we truly believe He could do it? So I had to lay my dreams before him again and cry out "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief" Peter
