I just wanted to say that we as a youth i think had an amazing experiance at Abundant spring and I would like to ask for prayers from the older people in this group for the Youth to be a light shining for Gid and so people can see we are differnt because of the fire God has burning in our hearts..Thank you!
As an encouragement to whoever is taking Pastor Pete's offer to join this small group, add your comments here and tell us how God has touched you each week. And to everyone, let us fuel the fire with God's word in our hearts every day. *Tiff
The first few verses of 1 Thess 5 speak about the importance of being ready for Christ's return. The thing about this that strikes a chord with me is that being ready for Christ's return or leaving this earth suddenly does not come naturally for most of us. We take forgranted the expectation that we will live to see the next day. This thought was driven home with me last summer when I had an unexpected medical "emergency" that I had never experienced before. I was completely out of control with what was going on and during the time remember thinking, "I'm not ready for this. I wasn't planning to die today." As most of you have guessed by now, I didn't die that day and I have gone on with life, pretty much as before. But one thing does stay in my mind, the verses in the above chapter are true. Life can change in an instant; without any warning. It therefore bears consideration in how we live now. Are we ready to meet Christ? Don
