question....what ever happened to Joseph, Jesus' father? We read about Mary a few times but i don't remember reading about Joseph after the 1st years of Jesus' life...
Good question. Most scholars would say we don't really know. He was present when Jesus was a child and was spearated from his parents and was found teaching in the temple. From there the story jumps about 20 years. Some believe Joseph may have died, which would also explain why Jesus' mother physically followed Jesus around as she had not husband at home. Anyone have other thoughts or heard other explainations.
To me, there were two verses that we read this week that tied together well. We read Rev. 3 and verse 11b says, "Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take away your crown." At the end of the week we read Psalm 136, and the words "His faithful love endures forever" gives me power to hold on even when the going is tough. Praise the Lord that in the end we will receive a crown of life if we endure, but in the meantime his faithful love is always there and it endures forever. Wannetta
