AS I read John 9, I noted the contrast between the two people that Jesus healed - the man at the pool in John 5 and the man born blind in today's reading. The man at the pool caved in to the Jewish leaders when questioned about his healing and turned on Jesus. The man born blind took a stand for Jesus and defended him. Don
NLT translation of John 10:10 says, "My purpose is to give life in all its fullness." KJV says, "...and that they might have it more abundantly." MSG says, "...more and better life than they ever dreamed of." Do I truly believe that God gives this kind of life? Do I trust in God for this kind of life and am I living it? Here's a quote from Ken Davis, who I heard speaking on a Focus on the Family program, and I vividly recall it. He said, "We don't trust God because we're afraid He'll take our joy away. But God came to give us life abundantly." Just like John 10:10 promises. I sadly have to say that I can too easily relate to Ken's quote. Wannetta
