  1. Sorry it has taken me so long to join in the discussion is has been a busy time. I want to respond to Lynnette's question about Adam. My undersatnding and belief is that we are talking about one man. If there were many men then which one was Eve created from or from all of them? Who ate the fruit, or did all of them? Also, when we read Gen. 2 it tells us God created all kinds of fish and sea creatures and birds and animals, using plural language but when it says God created Man and Woman it uses the singular language. Finally, when God says, "it is not good for man to be alone," how can he be alone if there were many created. It creates a lot of questions if we try to make it fit God creating a lot of men instead of just one.

One NT argument I have heard is that when Paul talks about sin entering the world he talks about it entering through "one man" namely, Adam.

Just some random thoughts, hope it helps.
I have really enjoyed reading the comments so far and Katie, thanks I was encouraged by what you said, sometimes I find it hard to stop too.

  2. ~thanks so much Peter:) I will pass that on to the guy who challenged me.
~I too just keep reading, I always said it was boring to read the OT but I guess I never gave it a try. I also think that being accountable to a "group" helps so much! thanks everyone:)
I hope everyone is enjoying this reading as much as I do!
    Bless you all:)
